Had to replace my CPU fan yesterday, thankfully my case is neat enough that I didn't need to pull out the motherboard to deattach the attachment system of my last heatsink. Switched back to a cheap fan with those clippy things instead of screws, who Wants to pay for a slab of metal anyway (And, slightly surprisingly, this cheap one has been working real well.)
I think I'll try to live up to my profile header, and make a game with anti-capitalist vibes for #ldjam. With a topic like "Your life is currency," not doing that just seems like wasted potential.
Time to get a nice big sleep before #ldjam, hoping I'll wake up to a nice theme.
This whole "season" shit in games does my head in. It took 20 years to get away from pathetically clinging to the coattails of film, now half the industry is desperately trying to emulate television just because that's bigger now.
Meanwhile theatre, the only medium that's at ALL like games, goes completely ignored by almost everyone.
#EU citizens! Please remember that elections for the European Parliament are being held on:

Make sure you can vote on that day please! Thank you 💙 🇪🇺 💙
See below for a cat/bat comparison (showing a bit of the #mastodon's code). And if you don't like those colors, don't worry—bat lets you select a different color scheme or customize your own (along with pretty much any other config option you might want).
This is something I have been working toward, alongside many others, during my entire career at Unity.
It took a lot of "hack weeks," 20% time, and other donated time to get off the ground; it came within a hair's breadth of being terminated multiple times.
We fought to keep it alive, to get it onto the release track, to keep it from being shipped with special license restrictions.
It's great to finally see our work having a public impact.

And the results are... Indecisive! 3 parties splitting the win, with 2 other parties in the +10% range. The government formation talks will take probably like a year, and Finland has the european council presidency from july to dec. This election truly was blessed by Eris.
(Also the feminists didn't get in On the bright side, all leftist parties got more seats, with the greens breaking a record.)

It's parliamentary election day, go vote!
I'm voting for the feminist party, and really hoping they'll get one candidate in, that'd be great.
